Welcome to the Frontpage

Welcome to the new Soli-Luna website.

Soli-Luna is the umbrella site for the projects of researching anthropologists.

The main topic of research is the culture of, and the transition between, mesolithic, neolithic, and iron age human populations. Articles related to the projects and topics of interest will be posted on this site leaving the project sites below to be showcases for multimedia outputs of the research.

Soli-Luna projects include the 'Stonehenge 3D' and the 'Avebury 3D' project.

Soli-Luna is for the main run by John Macdonald and Lionel Sims of the University of East London.

John Macdonald works and researches at the University of East London. His main interests are in the field of anthropology and he is currently the driving force behind 'Stonehenge 3D' and 'Avebury 3D'with the help of Lionel Sims. You can visit both of these sites from our links section.

Lionel Sims also of the University of East London is a Field Leader and Head of Anthropology. A popular lecturer of many years standing, Lionel is the education representative for SEAC (Societe Europeenne pour l'Astronomie dans la Culture / European Society for Astronomy in Culture) and has been involved in various television and radio productions surrounding the topics of archaeology, archaeoastronomy and anthropology. Some of these items we hope to publish here (dependent upon permissions and availability).

These works will not be limited to the above, and over time, will build up into a comprehensive archive of reconstructed megalithic and monumental architecture. Other projects currently being undertaken include preparations for the Dorset Cursus (Dorset, UK) and the Newark Earthworks (Ohio, US).

We hope you enjoy the site, and feel free to get involved and/or contribute.
